Why Does She Love Him

She tells herself she'll be ok
but her tears fall like rain
so why does she love him
when all he does is cause her pain

she watches him at school
sees every different girl he's around
she tries to tell him about her day
but he never hears a sound

she calls him every night
but he's hardly ever home
tells her he'll call so she spends her nights sitting
and waiting by the phone

but he won't ever know
she cries herself to sleep at night
looking at the stars and wishing
for everything to be alright

all she wanted was his love
all she needed was for him to care
a guy that had her on his mind
a guy that wanted to be there

she knows she should let him go
but she can't get him out of her head
he means the world to her
she really believed everything he said

she can't take much more
and she keeps falling apart
why does she love him
when all he does is break her heart

staring at the mirror
I just don't see why
why I let him hurt me
why he makes me cry
