Where my heart will lay

by Ruby   Oct 12, 2005

Where fleets of clouds, deep in thought,
sail the silent heavens home.
And grounded hills, climbing over each other,
reach for freedom alone.
Where the songs of the birds, sound in harmony,
to the melody that is life.
And the fallen trees, continue to breathe,
swallowing their cries of strife.
Where the horizon wears a carpet of hope,
which seems endless and lifetimes away.
And the star-scattered face of the night,
quietly blinks and subdues to day.
Where the dragon flies drift in a flurry,
like a feather upon a storm.
And a calm clear stream glides gently,
down the hillside, worn.
Where the dirt road winds nervously,
few travelers riding the belt.
And the silver threads of a spiders web,
are too delicate to be felt.
Where the earth sleeps without nightmares,
of the destructive arm of man.
And seraphic rays of beauty,
streak far across the land.
Where the sweet air blows kisses,
softly upon wild flowers.
And the rain descends like the tears,
of angels drowning in heavenly showers.
Where sunset broken skies,
mirror the face of beauty.
This is where my heart will lay,
if ever you need me.
