In this world things go on,
Racism, prejudice and terrorism,
This is the planet we are supposed to care for,
But we all just walk on by and don't bother,
This is the world that we live in.
The grass is always greener on the other side,
But it gets browner every stride,
We all complain,
But don't live in shame,
This is the world that we live in.
People don't care,
They'll stand and they'll stare,
It's getting worse bit by bit,
And when it comes down to it,
This is the world that we live in!
