To my grampa

by Sarah-rae .w.   Oct 12, 2005

To my Grampa,

i don't know where to start,
now that your gone and we are far apart,
so many things go through my mind,
if only our lives could rewind,
i would bring you and my daddy back,
fix the things that we had lacked,
i would have went back to where we could prevent your sickness,
now that your gone all our family really knows is sadness,
when we first lost my dad your son,
there really wasn't anything much that could be done,
our lives had been shaken,
and now after him you have been taken,
we know that god has this plan,
for ever woman and every man,
that one day we must all die,
but if only there was more time we could buy,
we could all have some more time together,
if only that more time could be forever,
i miss you why did you have to go,
i find that i ask my self these questions over and over again.
why did god take you ,
why did god take my dad,
why does god take anyone,
but you are In a better place now,
some where were you are no longer in pain,
now up there you have so much more to gain,
you are with a son you are not alone.
i guess now i realized that iv always known,
that one day this would come,
that god does not only take some,
he takes the best,
so now that your body is now at rest,
take care of yourself and my daddy too,
because you now have him and he has you.
your always in our hearts,
and we will always love you forever.
rest in peace grampa.
