JRM

He stares into my eyes
I smile just a bit
for he knows what I'm going to say beneath my smiling disguise
but we remain silent and we sit

not wanting to spoil the silence in the air
a beautiful clearness that becomes us while unearthing tears we cannot hide
he takes my hand in his and smoothes my hair
and leads me to the seaside

a gorgeous sunrise begins
and he holds me tight
not wanting the time to pass as our time together ends
as the golden and orange sun engulfs us, murdering the night

I squeeze him as if to share his pain
while a single tear rolls from my eyes
he whispers a sentence that danced into my brain
and I agree while a darkness over takes the skies

I don't want to leave
because it wouldn't be fair
why should I have to survive every eve
without him being there

he can hear my heart breaking
as the earth starts to cry
understanding that sometimes love will cause a heart's aching
making you feel like you could just die

it's cold but we don't care
and I feel the rain begin to soak
I want to say something but I don't dare
as my voice is gone and my heart has broke
