Last Breath of Death

by elise   Oct 13, 2005

As the world continues to spin,
and lives continue to be won,
nothing will compare to this,
as the greatest song sung.

As watching wears its welcome,
and spying is no longer fun,
I stop on the bridge to death,
before my life is done.

Life can end at anytime,
as long as you know how,
and when the fate is revealed,
nothing can stop it now.

It's sad to think we'll die,
before we've found out things,
about what we've been wondering,
and the death bell tolls and rings.

Such beauty can never be found,
and such taste is never there,
but as I fall off the bridge to death,
and I fall through the air.

I had my chance to live,
and I had my chance to die,
but now I've lost both,
and there's nothing left but a lie.

I'll never be seen again,
not in heaven nor in hell,
but as I continue falling down,
perhaps you'll find where I've fell.
