Trapped

What is this feeling, deep inside,
Ive never felt before.
I feel as if I can not move,
Im trapped by loves trap door.

Just walking along lifes long road,
I never thought Id fall.
Until she caught me with those eyes,
I had no chance at all.

Loves traps were set around my heart,
I vowed Id never stray.
But just one look was all it took,
She led my heart away.

My hearts defenses were torn down,
By every word she said.
So I surrendered all my heart,
Resistance all was dead.

But now I see that loves not blind,
It really had a plan.
The love she promised for all time,
Makes me a better man.

So I thank God, yes every day,
That she could love me still.
