The Test

by Rachael Young   Oct 14, 2005

As you wake up in the morning
There is fear in your eyes
The biggest test in life
And you never did revise

You try to fake your ill
By pretending to be sick
But it will never convince your mum
Because she isnt thick

You put the clocks forward
To try and waste the time
But when your mum turns on tv
Shes sees it Half past nine

Shes says you have 5 minutes
To get ready for school
All this time you could have revised
Now you feel a fool

You walk up to the car
And open the door
Puts on your seatbelt
And say no more

You take out your books
Memorising the words
But your mind drifts outside the car
And focuses on the bird

Your mum says your here
Now your in a panic
You sign in at reception
Now your in a manic

Running down that hallway
Entering the class
You were told the test was cancelled
You can relax at last

Now everyone knows
That they have to revise
It is very important
That everyone tries

So true! I don't know how many times that has happened to me! I'm not always that lucky though! Good Poem!
