Reality versus Dreams

Reality continues to ruin my dreams,
Reality makes nothing of something it seems.
Dreams are just dreams, i know it can be true,
But I was dreaming that one day my dreams would break through.
Reality is bad, it ruins my life,
Reality gets me angry and makes me pick up a knife.
Reality makes dreams seem fake,
And reality turns myths to what turns out worse for my sake.
Reality makes people go from riches to rags,
Reality in my case makes people sad.
Dreams are the counter, but reality is the stronger,
Dreams hang in there, but reality stays longer.
I keep on dreaming coz i know i can,
I keep on dreaming coz i wanna think i can change who i am.
So i sleep at night, i dream of bright lights,
And when i awake in the sun,
i know finally dreams have won.
