Shattered pieces

Broken into shattered pieces.
That's my heart for you.
I'm a 13 year old girl in a womans place.
Watching my little brother as if he were my child.
Mom's never home,
she's kicked dad out.
I see him every other weekend,
but it's not enough.
Why does life have to be like this?
Why does it have to be so tough.
Everyday for the past year that we've been here my heart has shattered even more.
Dad puts it together mom and the others brake it apart.
She yells at me when they start the fights and arguments.
Dad gets onto all of us not just me.
It's unbelievable how different they were after they separated.
Before mom was like dad getting onto us all,
now since hes gone my world falls apart.
My heart has broken so many times it's hard to put back together.
Because it's in shattered pieces.
