A Teenagers Life

by Brittini   Oct 16, 2005

Imagine feeling alone
But yet you're in a crowd
Not knowing where is your home
Just always wondering around
Wondering who you are
For who is it you wish to be
Thinking wondering
Who is really me

Always hated by someone
Never good enough or so it would seem
Wanting to run far away
Not knowing where to go
Not having anywhere to stay

Hiding who you really are
So no one can find out
How different you can be
So no one really knows about
Who you choose to be

There is always a lie
A rumor going about
Just wanting to let out a cry
But not really sure why

And even though I seem to be without a light
It's the way I survive
It's the reason I put up a fight
What is my light you may ask?
The people I trust and care about
To these people I wear no mask
I don't hide who I choose to be
Not feeling judged when they are near
For they take all me fear

So don't feel sorry for me
For I have those people that most call friends
For you see
I will be together
With some of them forever

The flow was real choppy on this and the title was not really atuned too the message of the poem. I think it started that way then you got lost in a thought and it took over. You made a more general type poem more of a personal nature or a soap box speech. nice try maybe next time Plot121
