A family torn and a fallen hero

by -Lestat-   Oct 16, 2005

Long nights are spent, my mother
Aside her bed crying.
With a broken family comes a
Broken heart no denying.
Fake smiles in a photograph,
A memory of love once passed.
Hurtful words are said,
Most of which are not meant.
Tears like daggers through her heart,
One by one we all depart.
Sisters all starved for affection,
Do anything for attention.
Steal, lie, smoke and drink,
Is all part of this I think.
Where is it that we all went wrong?
Where has our family love all gone?
All torn over petty things.
Clothes, boys and when the phone rings.
Why is it that they fight?
Why is there only silence at night?
All thats left is memories.
Followed by a mothers plea.
If one were to die tomorrow,
The other would be left in sorrow.
So think not I hate her today.
Because it could be her last day.
Hold each other close and warm.
Together we can get through this family torn.
