The Legacy of Life

by Lyn   Oct 16, 2005

Up and down life's road we go
Destiny guides the way,
Searching high and searching low
For happiness we say.
We should just relax and say
We'll take what comes along,
Instead of worrying that we may
Not live for very long.
Fear can take all joy from life
And worry is destructive
It really matters not how long
But just how much we live.
Give a legacy of love
And happiness to your child,
Don't let it by your prejudice
And hatred be beguiled.
Let the child in freedom
Live and learn and grow,
And you will reap the harvest
Of what your child will know.
Freedom comes not from without
It starts within your heart,
When you can love your fellow-man
Of God you are a part.
