The story of a social climber

by ShadowDancer   Oct 17, 2005

There is one in every school
A girl who just wants to fit in
She will do any thing to be accepted
It's a game she is playing to win

So she does what she needs to blend in
Goes out shopping, goes to parties, gets stoned
Never mind her new friends like someone
That is simply a personality on loan

She starts to work her way up the ladder
Her popularity is beginning to soar
She hangs out with the creme de la creme
And is liked more then ever before

But then one day a single lie came out
And she was robbed of her crown
She slipped and fell such a long way
An example of what goes up, must come down

Now this girl couldn't take this tumble
The loss of what she had worked so hard to gain
So one night she went and ended it all
The thought of her failure brought too much pain

It shows how careful we all must be
To walk we must first learn to crawl
So be careful not to rush, social climber
You have such a long way to fall
