Vanquished Love

by Dallas Binner   Oct 17, 2005

Well, this really has no symbolic rhythm to it, nor rhyme. Here it goes.

Vanquished Love.

Your love, was like thorns.
Nothing could seperate us, nothing could stop us.
Your love, was like a new-borns.
Vanquish, hate, was there ever an "us?"

Tell me darling, tell me your secrets.
Hate, betrayal, vanquish, yet again.
How could you keep dragging me for so long?
Angels, demons, ripping at my heart.

There was a hole in my heart,
When I first met you.
You filled it with all of your love,
I fell in love with you.

Where has that gone?
What did I do?
Deeply troubled, vanquished love.
Betrayed.

Now I have moved on,
But you still want me in your bed,
Please, baby girl, please,
Stop messing with my head.

Your love is gone now,
A distant memory of the past.
I look upon what we had before,
The memories we never had.

Now i've moved on,
Like a flying dove.
What happened. Why?
Vanquished Love.
