Ambidextrous Poet

by Truest Lies   Oct 18, 2005

Ambidextrous poet,
Writes two poems at a time.
One is about love,
And one is about heartbreak.

One side of his face smiles,
And the other cries,
Two hands scribbling poetry,
Two emotions flowing freely.
He remembers the kisses,
And he remembers the pain,
Now writing them both,
Is driving him insane.
One poem is written shakily, on a paper torn and blotched,
The other one is clear,
Near perfect and sincere.

One poem is about pain,
The other one is about joy,
He tames the wild words,
Of passion and of hate,
But mixes up the pages,
The words he couldnt condensate.

He cant feel two things clearly,
Emotions only come one at a time,
He cant see her smile clearly,
For love left him behind.

Angry tears spill over his face,
Soaking the different pages,
He swears hell never love again,
Not for all the ages.
He rages over paper,
One hand consumed in hate,
He spills the ink over the table,
He doesn't care,
Hes anger he cant sedate.

She lied to him for so long,
She never gave a clue,
That one day it would be just him,
The ambidextrous poet,
With two pages of poetic poison.

The ambidextrous poet,
Finally is happy at his gift,
For now he can cut a slit,
In both wrists
At the same time.

*Sorry that its dark. I do hope that you understood it, and liked it.
