Without the truth

Without the truth,
there'd be no lies.
to have no lows,
there'd be no highs.
without the ups,
there'd be no downs.
what a price,
to never frown.
how do we achieve
these better things,
without the failures
that go between?
always soar,
to greater heights,
for without the dark,
there'd be no light.
