Heart on a String

by EpithetPoet   Oct 18, 2005

You played me for a fool
But you never knew the game
All i know for sure is this
I'll never be the same

My heart was on a string
Hurt so much it was black
Though you smiled sweetly
You disguised the scissors behind your back

I wish i could love you
But you gave yours away
Believe i wish it was me
Each and every day

*I compare this to pop music, which i hate, but i was out of ideas
