A Name

by EpithetPoet   Sep 2, 2009

How slowly these faces dabble their slurs
Googling and gaggling what appear to be words
Spinning in circles they laugh as drones
A million bodies so close yet so alone

As a mirror decides what stays or what goes
A lesson to me is what should I show
Myself as a woman, a christian, a name
A brain on acid, education, cocaine

That rickety racket which sprang my brain
Devils emerge and solely remain
My heart has been pierced and they merely beguile
This I know is my first strong smile

Peer through me to know my face
But this is not the time or place

    Good attempt...

My heart has been pierced and they merely beguile
This I know is my first strong smile
