Perfect

The "Perfect" girl
Soon to be sixteen
The "Perfect" girl
They see her as queen

She's smart and talented,
But little do they know
Under the Perfection
Are things she doesn't show

The smile she wears
Holds so many lies
The lies that are kept hidden
Deep behind her shadowed eyes

Her eyes that are longing
For people to see
Who she isn;t
Or who she wants to be

Yeah, she may smile,
But it never reaches her eyes,
And no one knows
Of all the nights she cries

Hours at a time
The continuous tears fall
As into the darkness,
She continues to call

She's screaming with anger
Her soul filled with so many fears
She's now completely alone
And crying every one of her Perfect tears

Her tears, now crimson
Are falling the downward direction
Each one pounding the floor
Filled with every Perfection

Every scene in her head
Is now perfectly thought out
"The plan will now take effect!"
She says with a shout

She screams so loud
As she reaches for her knife
Her Perfect plan
Is to end her so-called "Perfect" life

Into her wrists
She cuts so Perfectly deep
The blood in her arm
Is now beginning to creep

Each new drop falling and
Perfectly hitting the floor
Her only desire now
Is to bleed some more

The cuts deepening
With her every cry
Her only wish now
Is to Perfectly die

With her shrieking cries,
She falls to the floor
Her Perfect life now ended
Unable to restore

The Perfection people saw in her life
To her now was completely true
There was Perfection in death
From her forever depressed view

Yeah, she may have smiled Perfectly,
But it never really reached her eyes
No one ever knew
About her dying cries

As she drew her last breath of Perfection,
She only wished someone to care
If she was happy and cheerful
Or if she was even there

The "Perfect" girl
Knew she couldn't stay
The "Perfect" girl
Threw her Perfect life away

I like your writing, you are very talented! What I get from this poem is a child who no one sees for the REAL her, and she is so sick of pretending and all she wants is something so-called "perfect" so she plans her "perfect" death. Alot of people cannot see beneath the surface and below fake smiles and loving gestures...i constantly feel as if i am faking my way through things to please other people...
