The Perfect Dream

by BreakingAway   Oct 19, 2005

You come to our house and I tell you how I feel,
Maybe this time my pain you'll heal,
After I tell you how I feel you say you understand, you see.
For the first time I think, does she really love me??
You tell me you love me so much,
How you miss my loving touch,
The one you could feel from far away,
With you it will always stay.
You go on and on about how much you love me,
I just nod my head and agree,
Telling you I feel the same way,
How much I missed your love every day.
Then you look into my eyes and take my hand,
And for the first time I can see you understand.
You understand you put me in pain,
Slowly driving my insane.
You are ready to make up for the lost days,
So we have fun in so many ways.
Swimming, Camping, Sleepovers and staring at the stars,
And I realize you have healed my scars.
Just by spending time with me and showing your care,
You've healed me and now I know you'll always be there.
I close my eyes and enjoy the love and glory.
Realizing my life would make the perfect story.

Then I wake up.
It was all a dream.
The Perfect Dream.
