Beauteous Vision

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Oct 19, 2005

I sit and think of you, my Beauteous Vision
That I barely see and am sorely missing
From the crown of your head to the tip of your toes
How he made you so wondrous, God only knows

The sight of you, perfect as a flower,
Fills my head each waking hour
The hair that flows, in a swirling motion
The colour of a rising sun as its rays spread across the ocean

And when you smile your beauteous smile,
Its dazzling, it makes my day worthwhile
The sight of you, perfect as a flower,
Fills my head each waking hour

The twinkle that resides in your eyes,
Fills me with joy, makes me want to cry
As I look deep into your soul.
Im falling, a never ending hole
I lose myself deep in your gaze,
It leaves me breathless in a daze.

Your mind seems such a wondrous thing
Your thoughts and speech make my heart sing
As your voice whispers across my ear
Missing a word you say is my only fear

The lilting sound of your laughter
Makes me squirm and shiver after
With a personality, lively and vibrant
I have developed quite a Penchant

Your sense of humor oft matches mine
And on your jokes my mind does dine
With similar tastes in music as well
Ive found my heaven, and banished hell

Our conversations brighten my day
Make me happy as only you may
Though we talk of silly things
Each word lifts my heart on wings
Each line that flies from your fingertips
At the well of my soul gently sips

And when you depart my heart does fall
And I feel that Im losing it all
And each moment after I sit and ponder
How long till we speak, I doth wonder

So for all these things I give you praise
For being yourself, in such little ways.
