Search for your soul

by Forsaken Redeemer   Oct 21, 2005

The night is young
As you search for your soul,
That little bit you miss,
That makes you whole.
That part he took,
Kept under lock and key,
The part that you need
For how you were meant to be.
He ripped you and beat you,
And tore through your heart,
Watching through cruel eyes
As you fell apart.
He owns your salvation,
But keeps it hidden,
Because happiness and love
For you are forbidden.
He tells you such things
That your soul starts to ache,
He twists your mind into his,
On his command to bend and break.
So much pain piercing your mind,
Impossible to concentrate,
All those people who could be hurt,
Impossible to contemplate.
You seek such freedom,
Searching for something to find,
Yet keeping your struggles a secret,
And getting left behind.
