No longer a smiling child

by DeathsLove   Oct 21, 2005

As I look into the mirror, I notice that the little girl I saw before with a smile so bright and the hope shining in her eyes is gone.

Now a young adult is staring back at me, with eyes so dark, a grim expression on her face, a look of death in her eyes.

A small child forced to grow up for not having a father, and slowly watching her mother lose sanity.

Each day her face becoming more pale, her life slowly slipping away.

Never again will she be happy, too much pain has destroyed her soul and made her heart bitter.

Sooner or later she'll take death's hand and hold on tight and maybe she will finally rest...in...peace.
