Bitter, Lonely,

by DeathsLove   Jan 27, 2007

Sitting in my own silence
Captivated by the lonelyness in my heart
Happiness all around,
Joy in the young lovers heart.

What battle scars do I hold?
What has made me so bitter?
Who has done this to me?

I've been waiting through endless years for my soul mate
Many go, none ever stay
Always the wrong one
Always breaking me apart

What am I now?
A shell,
Hollow,
Broken...

I see her smiling,
I see her joy,
Young lovers...
Oh the hate I have for them.

The hate for their happiness
The hate for their joy

One day,
One day you will feel the way I do
One day, love's sting will poison you as it did me.

Until that day, you enjoy what you had
But do not weep to me when you have scars similar to mine
Do not come to me to be your crying shoulder

Why, would I be so cruel?
Because you weren't there for me when I needed you

You were content in your little world,
as I suffered in mine...
