The things you find in the rain.

by Marieke   Oct 23, 2005

Soft sounds from her mind
Put her cold feet on the floor
She does not seem to remember
where she saw this scene before

Walking toward the window
the sky weeps again tonight
Icy glass makes contact with her fingertips
Shadows hold her tight

Rhythmic heartbeat of the rain
Where are you to hold my hand?
Don't you hear the thunder screaming?
What my heart wants to say but can't.

Raindrops mingle with her tears
Gratefully of the sky that's crying
For these tears are all she's got
To keep the memory from dying

With the sun she will forget
Even when her voice is straining
In the morning she will keep her promise
But she'll remember when it's raining
