Notice me

by Marieke   Oct 23, 2005

A youthfull smile, but it seems so old
empty hearts are made of snow
Pretending that it isn't cold
But it is.

Hazel eyes, trying hard to see
Sadness in the dark blue water
Whispering this isn't me
But it is.

Dark shades of curling hair
Walking down the shadowed path
Screaming out it isn't fair
But it is.

Legs of stone, breathe in and softly out
Can you hear the whispering wind?
You say there is nothing left to smile about
But there is.

Moonlight shades, sparkle with one single tear
Run away into the starless night
Believing that it isn't fear
But it is.

Shadows dissapear, light shines from above
If you could only let it in
You think there is nothing left to love
But I am.
