A Boy and His Father

by A Former Outcast   Oct 25, 2005

In a town far, far away,
a place where no one wants to stay,
lives a teen who is never glad,
with a life dampened by his dad.

In this teen his dad stirs hate,
with any hope of recovery far too late,
now nothing can stop this horrible rage,
which has only grown worse with age.

Now with his dad this teen cannot confide,
due to the rage which he can barely hide.
In the dark the teen sharpens a blade,
with plans of evil intent already made.

Now thanks to an unforeseen slight,
the teen gets a beating that very night.
And from his hobbies his father bans,
and the teen sets in motion his evil plans.

Later that night he approaches his father's bed
quieted by a feeling of horrible dread.
Yet his hate compels and tears at him,
needing him to do something most grim.

Finally the teen slits his father's throat,
and his emotions become utterly remote.
He becomes a cold-blooded serial killer,
his emotions collapsing like a cracked pillar.

Soon enough the teen was thrown into jail,
with no hope of parole or bail.
With bloody hands he grasps the bars,
looking out at the indifferent stars.

The teen always remained that way,
even as an old man, to this very day.
As he dies his main thought is,
that satisfaction was ultimately his.
