Remember

Remember how simple life used to be?
Not a care in the world, running around free
We didn't have to worry about school
Impressing our friends, or being cool
We used to play dolls, Barbie's and kickball too
Having fun doing what we wanted to do
Remember when we didn't worry about boys?
They were icky and stole our toys
We stayed up late talking and sharing dreams
Planning fake weddings and sneaky schemes
We made up dances and played in the rain
And said that we were going to bike to Maine
Our Beanie Baby Choir and Lion King show
Hot Lava, Devin Eleven and sculpting Play-Dough
Ice skating during the winter, jumping in leaves in the fall
Cheating at jailbreak, Monopoly and baseball.
Remember when being young was such a blast?
But we grew up, it didn't last
Every now and then, I look back to see
Just how much fun we had, Just you and me
