These cuts of mine...

by Forsaken Redeemer   Oct 27, 2005

One for every tear I shed,
Two for my heart filled with dread,
Three for every lie you told,
Four for when you broke my soul,
Five for when you tore my heart,
Six for when I fell apart,
Seven for when you destroyed my Eden,
Eight for when you stole my freedom,
Nine for this dull, aching pain,
Ten for this insanity running through my veins,
Eleven for each bit of happiness you take,
Twelve for all the pain you make,
Thirteen for the broken pieces of me you left,
Fourteen for each and every breath,
One more cut to seal my Death...

I liked the simplicity of using numbers at the start of each line, yet the depth you portray. It is painful in a way I can relate to, I'm glad you can express yourself so well.
