What They Did

by jaki   Oct 29, 2005

My dream is finally over
They took them and ripped them
Tore my thoughts and dreams
Into nothing more than tiny shreds
They slashed at my heart
Made it bleed crimson hate
Cursed and swore at me for lying
For saying nothing more than a few words
They have taken all they can get
But are still finding more to take
They have taken my pride and dignity
My respect and my love
And they have turned my world black
Blacker then it ever was
They have cut open old scars
And replaced my pale skin
With scars and blood
And thoughts begging for mercy
They have done this to me
Slowly over time
Tearing my perfect world apart
Leaving me with no scar that can ever be seen
But a scar that will be felt
Everyday for the rest of my life
