I miss you

by Jessie   Oct 31, 2005

As she looked out the window
And looked out at the rain
She could feel her heart breaking
And a sudden rush of pain

She wandered around the house
Continually hating her life
But she was only young
And afraid to use a knife

Then she saw it sitting there
Coiled on the ground
What would make her life good
And turn it all around

She went into the basement
And closed the door behind
And the bright extension cord
She slowly began to unwind

She knew no one would miss her
They wouldnt even care
They could live day to day
Without her being there

She tied it to the rafter
And from under her kicked the chair
All because he hated her
And life is so unfair

This is really about a friend of mine. He killed himself and by changing he to she it helped me be able to write it.

Wow i was hooked on that one..that was brilliant...i am very sorry about your friend. This is why poetry is so great, it can help you cope with things like this by expressing your feelings, not just keeping it bottled in.Well done, a beautiful poem.
