Katrina

by Ladida   Oct 31, 2005

Disaster is a salty tear,
Sliding rapidly down the cheek of our country.

Harsh water falling on American dreams,
Tear drops warm and wet on the face of our people.

An attempt to slow to dry the rain,
Our homeland devoured by hateful unforgiving waters.

Delusive promises made to a society awaiting an answer from a government to deaf to hear the cry of it's own kind.
