Terrorist Within

by Dominique   Nov 1, 2005

Our government tells us to fight
But arrogance is the race
Innocent blood covers the floor
Americas economy is crashing at fast pace
Theres one terrorist that will never die
Hes breaths on our own land
Crushing the very hold on our country
Telling us where we should stand
Who are we to fight?
And make all the world see
Were truly just as bad
When we shoot those who only want to be free
We'll never rid the world of hate
If we use violence to solve it all
War will never be the answer
It just makes what we stand for fall
What is it we stand for?
How about freedom and good will
It seems we all forgot about this
Because our president has made us ill
To ill in the mind to realize that none of this is right
To ill in the body to stand up and fight
To ill in our heart to speak about what we feel
To ill to realize, that all of this is real.

* no i dont hate america, even though it sounds that way*

Absolutely...amazing. your poem is so completely true. you've inspired me to write a poem about patriotism and our government. i didnot hope bush would become president, but because of my bad luck, he did :(
