What You Did

by RB   Nov 1, 2005

I can still picture your face,
When I remember how must you cost,
My heart is shattered now,
And my soul is lost.

I used to think that loving you,
Was all I'd ever need,
Never once knowing you were sucking up all my love with greed.

I accept the fact,
That you never felt the same,
I just wish,
I never let you play the game.

You tossed around my heart,
And broke it in your hands,
Then you left it there.
Leaving me to try and understand.

Just why you did this to me,
But I guess I'll never know,
Because I'm just going to walk away now,
And let this pain go.

I think back now and laugh,
At how stupid I acted over you,
I still can't believe,
I ever thought I loved you.

So I'm going to piece my heart back whole,
And forget all your foolish lies,
So now as you try and get me back...one word,
Goodbye.
