Is This Love?

All of my life I have been searching,
For exactly what I do not know,
I only realize I have an empty space inside,
Although to everyone else I never show,

All of the despair courses though me,
Mourning what I never had,
What is this hollowness inside of my soul?
I need to find what makes me sad,

Only a few times has this void been filled,
By conversations with a good friend,
Aloud I wonder to myself,
Can this person my soul to mend?

I do not know what love is,
Or how love is suppose to feel,
It can be very confusing at times,
I don't even know if this is real,

But I've never felt this way before,
And I have no idea how to act,
To this person who fills the void,
I need help now is a fact,

No other feeling compares,
To the rush I get from this,
Not anger, happiness, or pain,
This feeling is one I miss,

Lead me in the right direction!
Is my plea to you,
Time moves so very fast,
And chances are so very few,

I seem to know less everyday,
My heart yearns more and more,
For some kind of companionship,
The kind of which I adore,

Please listen to me now,
My trust lies with you,
Now the decision is in the air,
About what will I do.
