Music
the notes
drift through the air
and i want to reach out
and touch them
grasp them
but like the bubbles
we blew as children
it seems they are just
not for me to hold
so i sit contently
watching them dance
through the air
picking up speed
only to slow down again
there rhythm seems to
pump the blood through my veins
beautiful melodies
twisting
swaying
taking on a life of there own
but always dancing
however ungraceful they may be
always moving
they twirl into my heart
however clumsy they may be
my heart is their soul; their pattern
my mind is their home
and my fingers give them birth
accompanied by my voice
and i don't care what it sounds like
because this music
is made of me
