Death's Hand

by xEmmax   Nov 5, 2005

Happiness smiles and bids farewell
Spreading her angelic wings,
She disappears into the dark night
Killing the song that she sings.

Sadness floats upon my soul
The bringer of endless tears,
Terror grips hold of my clammy hands
Drowning me with his fears.

Anger rages through my body
Attacking my innocent mind,
Deep, dark thoughts he plants in me
Each note of fire he's signed.

Murder comes swooping down in glee
A gruesome job to start,
Cackling through my broken body
And tearing up my heart.

Pain comes screaming through the blood
Laughing at my sin,
Hurt is trapped inside the wounds
Crying from within.

Then death glides towards me
In her hooded cloak of black,
Reaching out to touch my hand
I take it, and don't turn back.
