Maybe

by raven rose   Nov 6, 2005

She looks in the mirror
And hates what she sees
With tears in her eyes
She falls to her knees

She carresses the blade
And holds out her wrist
So easily it cuts
So easily she slips

Lying on the floor
She slowly bleeds to death
A silent gasp escapes
As she takes her final breath

They wake her in the morning
To find her cold on the floor
They stand there in utter silence
Holding back their screams

Her parents never knew
She was torn up inside
They had never seen
The tears build up in her eyes

Her friends had no clue
What she did to herself
Maybe had they known
They could've done something to help

The mourners gather all in black
To see her just once more
They get their final glimpse
Before they close the coffin door

She never knew how many lives
That little slip would change
If someone had reached out to help her
She may still be here today

Incredible...it draws a terribly sad picture about this young girl's life and there are many people who are going through the exact same thing. I am very impressed and I hope to see more poems with this quality written by you. This one definitely deserves a 5/5! luv always, kt
