True Life Nightmare Pt.2

by michelle   Nov 9, 2005

The emergency vehicles were still heading up-towards her school.

She prayed for them not to turn down the school road.

As they did, she couldn't take the pain anymore.

For she knew what she was going to find.

She turned down the road, slowly she crept.

She got closer.

She stopped her car,

Slowly got out and started walking towards the wreck.

She was stopped my a police men,

He told her she has to leave,

She can't be here.

She started to walk away, but she turned around,

To see if she could see what happened.

And she saw what she already knew.

Her fathers '87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.

The driver side was smashed into the passenger side.

She just burst into tears.

Her cell rang again.

She composed herself the best she could,

Before she answered.

All she heard was the sobs of her mother crying

That her father was dead.

She couldn't believe her father was dead.

He's to strong for that.

He's like superman he's not supposed to die.

This has to be a dream.

None of this is real.

I'm going to wake up and everything is going to be ok.

But it's not!

This comment is for both parts of this poem: Fantastic job. Obviously, rhyming doesn't matter to you, which is fine, because you make it great. This poem was so sad, I couldn't stop reading. As soon as I finished Part I, I hurried up to read Part II. All in all, great job. Full points.
