The Last Date

As i see you approaching me
my smile is visible for all to see
but that smile becomes a frown
as your bad news comes crashing down

Now my soul within me cries
as a piece of my heart dies
These words of yours have a terrible cost
and all hope within me is lost

:I am here to say i am breaking up with you:
Oh how i wish these words were not true
but they are true and i clench my teeth
as the emotions filling me inside seethe

But theses emotions i quickly disguise
as i begin to plot your demise
how quickly my love turns into hate!
i wish i could stop but it is far too late.

I invited you over for a quiet dinner
but i dreadfully hate you now you sinner
A touch of poison should do the trick
to remove whatever makes you tick

When you arrive i present the meal
A simple meal of veggies and veal
But laced within your delicious food
lays a poison that is most crude.

I sat with you until you died
Then i went upstairs and cried
I had suspected that i still had love for you
but i found out far too late that it was true.

Still caught up in my own denial
I pulled out the little poison vial
The liquid shined oh so clear
as i drank to you my dear

Here i now lay dead
in my comfy little bed
the moral of this story is
that hate is cruel and love is bliss.
