DEATH

Life lasts only so long,
shut your eyes and it will be gone.
when your life comes to end,
you shall then know how to mend.

life shall be one way,
death shall be the other.
either one you choose,
the other one you shall loose.

death comes and goes,
death eats and grows.
death is all around,
even in the ground.

when we loose someone loved,
we mourn, cry and release doves.
what we don't know,
is death shall only grow.

death is just one path,
down an awful road.
filled with bumps and cracks
all the path has eroded.

at the end of your time,
there is only one choice.
death will take you,
whether you want it to or not.

when we grow old and frail,
our organs will most likely fail.
death takes all,
into a deep fall.

death is inevitable,
death is unfathomable,
death is all we know.
