Dad,
You knew she abused me
But you didn't do anything
Why were you never there for me?
You say you love
But I know you really don't
Why did you tell me you never wanted me?

Mom,
You also knew she abused me
But you didn't do anything either
Why didn't you?
You say I can tell you anything
But I know you would get upset
Why did you say that?

Everyone else who said they cared,
Most of you knew that I cut myself
But you didn't try & help me
Why didn't you at least try?
Those who didn't know said they cared for me
But you never asked me whats wrong
Why did you say you cared?

    Hun, in this poem it seems like you wanted someone to help you. Maybe to you it seemed like they knew about cutting etc, maybe they didn't? or they didn't know what to do. You should just reach out to them...

    I know exactly wat ur talking about.. i went through the same thing.. its confusing how people say that u can tell them anything but all they will do when you tell them is yell and shout and get mad at you... ur poem means alot to me.. its really good too.

    I like how this poem is set up, and im sorry that this is how it is for you, i feel bad for anyone who ahs to go through nearly as much pain as i do, its hard and probably always will be , but you just have to keep your head up show them your strong adn keep going
