I Fall Prey

by georgeharvy   Dec 14, 2003

I fall Prey...
To a victor's eyes,
Whose path never sees the blaze
Of the other's heart,
Whose destiny faces lies
and disbelief.

I fall prey...
To a jester's tongue,
Whose words summon mystery
Of the past and present time.
Whose principles lie beneath
the inconguent lines.

I fall prey...
To a thief's hand,
Whose actions betray with
its amazing masks
Of what it may do to
a trusting heart.
Whose vivaciousness
become void and dull.

I fall prey...
T oa hardened heart,
Whose feelings cease the unknown
with fallen migth,
Of what is the heart
if it does not love?
Whose life becomes nothing,
Void and gone.

I fall prey...
