More than a friend

by Stephanie   Nov 14, 2005

You're more than a friend
That I would like you to see
Did you know?
That you're practically everything to me?

What would I do if I didn't have you?
That I really don't know
You have always been there for me
Together we both grow

You give me advice when I need it
Slap me when you have to
No one else would do that
Not a soul, just you

When I'm upset you know just what to say
What would I do without you?
How would I make it through each day?

I know I'm lucky
Blessed to have you as a friend
But I choose not to call you that
It would just be pretend

Friends come and go
This I know to be true
So I couldn't call you that
That just isn't you

You're more than a friend
More than a sister
How do I tell you that?
Without creating a tongue twister

I know I can always count on you
Always, until the end
Because you're not just anyone
You're my best friend
