Missing You

by Stephanie   Dec 26, 2006

I could lay in your arms forever
Watching the city lights
And have you hold me close
Keeping me warm in the coldness of the night

Hearing the steady beating from your chest
Your breath against my cheek
It's an unexplainable feeling
Your touch makes me weak

The time always slips away
There's nothing we can do
Your kisses linger on my lips
And it keeps me missing you

I need to see your smile
And to feel you pressed against me
To be completely surrounded
You're the only one I need

I'm torn with this desire
Because you can't always be near
But I would give everything I have
For you to always be here

The stolen moments we share
Are still too few
So, who can blame me
For always missing you

Lovely poem. Well written, and passionate, a good piece indeed. Thank you for the good read.
