What a form of sadness
a mother cat rejecting her kittens
they were born premature,
hardly any fat or fur
litter of 5~2 didn't make it
mother cat dry nipples,
won't connect with the preemies
Just so sad!!
I brought her home
bought kitty formula,
bottle and a dropper,
kittens are cold and hungry,
but got them a hot water bottle and fed them there first drink.
To see it is sad!
Stayed up all night
lots of coffee and caring
they are warming up, but still cool
more hot water for the bottle,
more formula every 2 hours...
I feel LIFE!!!
Situation so sad, but they have a chance....I will do my best, kids are so helpful...baby granddaughter being induced into the world today...
So much coming at once...I accept the challenges...baby kittens, there mommy too, baby girl coming soon....counting my blessings, you should too!
Not so sad anymore!!
*update* I have a baby grandaughter......and the kittens didnt make it past the 4th nite.....
