Red Rose

by Illusion   Nov 18, 2005

A beautiful red rose
the most delightful of its kind
dizzingly scented
one of the most precious you'll ever find

a beautiful red rose
slowly wilting and dying
un-tented and ignored
no one sees its silent crying

a beautiful red rose
what was once is now forgotten
dried leaves and petals
now proclaim it rotten

a beautiful red rose
struggles to survive
everyday trampled upon
as it fights for its life

a beautiful red rose
once exsisted in this town
it struggled to break free from the thorns and vines
but in the end, was held down
