Just Another Day

by CandyPants   Nov 18, 2005

Its just another day.
Tired of it being the same.
Blistered with the knowledge
of not having a purpose.

As the day lingers on,
My thoughts captivate me.
And I'm taken to a distant place
Where your illusion is still remanent.

As my mind travels to you,
My anxious heart is forgotten.
But its just another day
And reality will again seize my being.

I utter a shrill cry
Because I cannot change my life.
It has been captured
by the stars in the heavens.

Unable to escape.
Unable to be altered.
Caught in the brilliant blue,
In an urgent desire to be guided.

A lifelong beckoning
has thieved my freedom.
Unaided by the Island of Meaning,
I can no longer imagine a purpose.

The pursuit of understanding
Is no longer existent.
It's just another day.
And it will forever remain a blur.
