Cold child

by aaron 1 remo   Nov 18, 2005

In a desert of tanned sand.
Sky of dark eerie blue.
Sits a child in rags.
Faded red patterns dancing in the harsh winter winds.

He sits and softly weeps, the trickling tears sting his weather worn face.
The bright ivory moon shines on the huddled figure taunting him.
Light, but not warm.

His body begins to harden. Still he sits and watches. He watches the world pass as every day his body weakens. Everyday his mind gets foggier. its all just a blur of colors now.
Blue, red, green, brown, Grey. And finally black.
